The idyllic Abergalm hut, also known as Schönaugut, is located at 1,000 metres above sea level in the heart of the Schwarzleotal valley. The hut was constructed between the 13^th and 14^th centuries and originally used to store wheat. The original kitchen with its wood-burning stove is a unique relic of bygone days. Since 1854, the hut has been owned by the Mühlauer family from the local Brandstatthof. Their cattle can occasionally be seen peacefully grazing on the nearby pastures.
