The sheer rockfaces of the Leoganger Steinberge and Steinernes Meer are almost begging to be climbed. They may seem intimidating from afar, but they do in fact offer climbing for all abilities. Options range from family-friendly crags and "via ferratas" to some of the most demanding sports climbing you can imagine.
The Salzburger Hof is located in the heart of the Leoganger Steinberge. It offers quick and easy access to the summits of the Hochzint, Fahnenköpfl and Kaffeeköpfl mountains, home to climbing routes ranging from grade 3 to 8 (easy to difficult) on the UIAA scale. Experienced climbers will enjoy the area around the Passauer Hütte mountain hut, home to some of the region’s rock climbing. Ask your hosts for more climbing tips in the area.
Our 50-square-metre bouldering area is perfect for bad-weather days and training your skills in a safe indoor environment.
