At 56 kilometres in length, the Lamprechts Cave is one of the longest caves in the world. Regardless of the weather, this natural wonder is always worth a visit. Climb steep paths until you reach the cave’s highlight: a platform with marvellous views into the underworld. Open from May to October.
The Seisenberg Gorge gorge is a protected natural landmark located in Weißbach bei Lofer in the Saalachtal valley. The "Gorge Ghost" provides company and shares interesting fun facts for all the family as you make your way through the steep rockfaces. The Seisenberg Gorge is the perfect family attraction and just 25 minutes from the hotel by car. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of October.
The Leogang Schaubergwerk is a mining museum and one of the most popular attractions in the region. Explore shafts and tunnels from bygone days and learn more about the mining of silver, mercury, cobalt, copper, lead and nickel. The mine is well-maintained and also offers guided tours. Holders of the Saalfelden Leogang Card enjoy a discount to this fascinating experience.
The Krimml Waterfalls are among Europe’s highest waterfalls. Visit the four observation decks and experience the giant water attraction close up. Allow approximately 75 minutes of walking to reach the upper platform, where fine views of the Achental valley await. You can combine this outing with a hike to the Krimmler Tauernhaus hut or the Söllen-Alm hut.
The Großglockner high alpine road is leading through lush green pastures, blooming alpine meadows, rugged mountain peaks and the eternal ice of the glaciers. Werfen is home to the world’s largest ice cave, known as the "Eisriesenwelt" or "World of the Ice Giants". This cave system, protected under law, spans an incredible 40 kilometres and invites you and your family to journey into the fascinating world of natural ice sculptures. Take part in a guided tour and learn more about the history and science behind this natural phenomenon. You can either hike up to the Eisriesenwelt Werfen from the visitor centre or hop on Austria’s steepest mechanical lift. Open from May until October.
