Activity Program for Kids & Teens – Family Holiday in Salzburger Land

Once a week, we offer this easy hike for the whole family, far away from the crowds, to our rustic Abergalm. At the top, you will find not only homemade cheese dumpling soup and a fantastic view, but also a genuine mountain hut atmosphere.

The highlight: our guests can stay overnight exclusively at the alpine hut – the ultimate family adventure with memories that will last a lifetime!

Our hiking guide Stefan will explore together with our guests the most beautiful hikes in the mountains surrounding Leogang. The routes are individually tailored to the fitness and endurance of the participants.

A fun mix of exercise, running, games, little challenges, and lots of fun—outside when the weather's nice. If it's raining or cold, we just move inside—so you're guaranteed to get some exercise and have a good time no matter the weather!

Gentle stretching exercises, playful movement sequences, and small breathing exercises help children stay flexible and relaxed. On warm days, stretching takes place outdoors in nature—for even greater enjoyment of movement and a good body image.

Movement, imagination, and relaxation—in children's yoga, little ones can playfully slip into different roles, imitate animals, strengthen their body awareness, and find peace. When the weather is nice, we practice outside, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and plenty of space to spread out.

Our family-friendly circuit training offers a great opportunity to be active together – parents and children: everyone can join! In our gym, we complete a variety of stations that playfully train strength, endurance, and flexibility. Sweating together not only strengthens the body, but also the group dynamic. At the same time, the children can get to know the training environment under supervision and enjoy their own sense of achievement, without any pressure to perform, but with lots of fun and perseverance.

This adventure park at the mid-way station of the Asitzbahn cable car provides a journey of discovery for the entire family. Awaken your inner explorer as you move through 30 stations, each one designed to provide a new experience for the senses. Wander barefoot along the alpine garden path or climb through mysterious caves. Experiment together with your kids and quench their thirst for curiosity as well as your own.

At 56 kilometres in length, the Lamprechts Cave is one of the longest caves in the world. Regardless of the weather, this natural wonder is always worth a visit. Climb steep paths until you reach the cave’s highlight: a platform with marvellous views into the underworld. Open from May to October.

The Seisenberg Gorge gorge is a protected natural landmark located in Weißbach bei Lofer in the Saalachtal valley. The "Gorge Ghost" provides company and shares interesting fun facts for all the family as you make your way through the steep rockfaces. The Seisenberg Gorge is the perfect family attraction and just 25 minutes from the hotel by car. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of October.

The Leogang Schaubergwerk is a mining museum and one of the most popular attractions in the region. Explore shafts and tunnels from bygone days and learn more about the mining of silver, mercury, cobalt, copper, lead and nickel. The mine is well-maintained and also offers guided tours. Holders of the Saalfelden Leogang Card enjoy a discount to this fascinating experience.

The Krimml Waterfalls are among Europe’s highest waterfalls. Visit the four observation decks and experience the giant water attraction close up. Allow approximately 75 minutes of walking to reach the upper platform, where fine views of the Achental valley await. You can combine this outing with a hike to the Krimmler Tauernhaus hut or the Söllen-Alm hut.

The Großglockner high alpine road is leading through lush green pastures, blooming alpine meadows, rugged mountain peaks and the eternal ice of the glaciers. Enjoy a special driving experience and don't forget to stop, get out of the car and enjoy the views. Discover gorgeous waterfalls, catch a glimpse of the shy marmots and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Salzburg is known as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the place where The Sound of Music was filmed. However, it has so much more to offer. Salzburg’s city centre is a recognised UNESCO World Heritage Site and enchants visitors with its narrow streets. Take a stroll through the medieval oldtown and enjoy the combination of tradition and modernity. Culture vultures will rejoice at the many museums, art galleries and events, while the city is also perfect for a family day out.

Werfen is home to the world’s largest ice cave, known as the "Eisriesenwelt" or "World of the Ice Giants". This cave system, protected under law, spans an incredible 40 kilometres and invites you and your family to journey into the fascinating world of natural ice sculptures. Take part in a guided tour and learn more about the history and science behind this natural phenomenon. You can either hike up to the Eisriesenwelt Werfen from the visitor centre or hop on Austria’s steepest mechanical lift. Open from May until October.
