Learn Oma’s traditional recipes at our cooking classes located at the hotels own mountain lodge, Abergalm. Have the chance to learn how cooking was done a few hundred years ago on a traditional wood-fired oven. Your host, Anton Hörl, and the Chef de, Cuisine Günter Gschier, will disclose culinary secrets about the traditional Austrian cuisine, all the while getting to sample some of these recipes passed down for generations within the Hörl family. A special feature in the mountain lodge is the stove itself. This stove is an original wood-fired oven located in a traditional smokehouse kitchen which is truly unique for Leogang. This kitchens rarity is as special as the food that comes from it. The cooking classes end with a dinner made from these homemade dishes for all participants to sample.
These cooking classes take place upon request. You can access such classes either by bike, hike or snowshoe.
The cooking classes cost €50.00 per participant and the number of participants is limited to 8.
