Hosts with values

A warm, welcoming family-run hotel

Your hosts, the Hörl family, emphasise traditional hospitality and down-to-earth friendship. At the same time, they aim to provide excellent quality in all areas of service. Over the years, they have come to master the perfect balance of traditional values and modern luxury. With their roots in the Leogang region running deep, all family members are proud to share their home with you. Ask them about what to do and see during your stay and they’ll happily provide their best tips or even guide you to the family-run Abergalm hut. What an opportunity to dive deep into the 700-year-old history of this gem in the Schwarzleotal valley.

We love our home and, after all these years, we are still amazed at the spectacular natural environment that surrounds us and inspires us daily.

The Hörl family

Meet the hosts

Anton Hörl senior built the Salzburger Hof Leogang with his wife Anneliese in 1988 and has managed the hotel ever since. The hotel’s wine cellar is his greatest passion. He also enjoys advising his guests on the perfect pairings and sharing his wine expertise. If he’s not busy at the hotel, he can usually be found out and about in nature. Some of his favourite activities include mushrooming, biking and ski touring.

Anneliese Hörl manages the hotel together with her husband, Anton. She is mainly responsible for housekeeping and the carefully selected décor found throughout the house. Besides keeping the hotel clean and beautiful and her guests entertained, she enjoys extensive walks in nature and spending time gardening or playing with her grandson, Johannes.

After completing his studies in history and politics, Christoph more and more devoted his time and energy to getting more actively involved in his parents’ hotel business. His area of responsibility is finance and controlling. In his free time, he enjoys reading, skiing and hiking.

Anton Hörl junior is responsible for the hotel’s human resource management and supports the team managers in selecting new staff members. His hobbies include biking, hiking and, of course, skiing.

Fasika welcomes you to the hotel’s spa as the manager of the Salzburger Hof Leogang spa reception. Outside the hotel, the native Ethiopian spends most of her time cooking, gardening and with her son, Johannes.

The youngest member of the family is the good mood manager at the Salzburger Hof Leogang. Johannes likes dogs, tractors and cruises with his tricycle.

Meet the Team

Ready to create the holiday of your dreams

Artur joined the spa team in June 2021 and is eager to pamper relaxation-seekers with soothing massages at the new panorama spa.

Bianca has been a part of the massage and spa team for over a decade. Her specialities are sports massages and singing bowl treatments. She spoils our guests with customised spa experiences, one of the most popular being her hot stone massage.

Elisabeth assists front desk management at the Salzburger Hof Leogang and is ready to help wherever she can. In her leisure time, you can find her out and about in the mountains, usually accompanied by a camera and her dog. The Leogang native has plenty of insider tips. Ask her about the hidden gems of the region.

Hildegard Frank is the hotel reception manager. She comes from Saalfelden and has worked for the Salzburger Hof Leogang for over 17 years. One of her top priorities as a team manager is friendly cooperation. She is convinced that, with respect and appreciation, creating a special experience for our guests in their home away from home comes easy.

Jenni is from Hinterglemm, but has worked in many different places across Austria. One day, she started feeling homesick and returned to the beautiful Pinzgau region. Today, she works at the Salzburger Hof Leogang as the assistant restaurant manager and she has already proved herself as a real asset to the team.

Judith is responsible for all things marketing. At the end of 2017, the trained tourism and leisure manager started working at the Salzburger Hof Leogang. She is in love with the mountains, hiking and skiing. Whenever she’s got some extra time to spare, she’ll book herself a flight and travel to faraway countries to learn more about their cultures.

Katalin Balogh joined the Salzburger Hof family in 2014. She is the assistant housekeeper and ensures everything remains in the best shape. Katalin knows why our guests love to travel to Leogang. She herself loves the region and its amazing skiing and hiking.

Marian has managed the service team since summer 2021. As a trained sommelier, he is also ready to recommend the perfect wine pairing for your dinner and advise you on the treasures awaiting in our wine cellar.

Michael Mayrhofer is a passionate chef. After he completed his training, he fostered his love for cooking at various hotels throughout Austria. He even contributed to a restaurant’s being awarded one toque. In 2019, he felt a calling to return to his hometown, and that’s when he started working at the Salzburger Hof Leogang as our chef de cuisine – to the delight of our entire team and our guests.

Patricia Vogel is a Leogang local and has worked for the Salzburger Hof Leogang for twelve years. To balance out her work at the hotel, she regularly ventures out into the mountains, regardless the season.

Paul is originally from the beautiful Spree Forest, Germany. He has spent several seasons in Salzburg Land and joined the Salzburger Hof Leogang kitchen team as a sous chef at the end of 2019. His team values his commitment and creativity.

At the Salzburger Hof, both competitive athletes and hobby sportsmen are welcome and encouraged to discover the region in an active way. As an ambitious and passionate mountain biker, Sabrina is particularly thankful to have found a place where she can combine her profession and personal interests. She offers guided bike trips and fitness classes and also manages the hotel’s spa.

Selma Karabulut has been living in Austria since 1990 and joined our team in July 2020. Ever since, she’s become an integral part of the Salzburger Hof Leogang team. The positivity and precision she puts into her daily work are simply remarkable.

Stefan is our hotel’s hiking and ski guide. He takes our guests to the hidden gems in the mountains and is happy to share his inside knowledge. Join him on his well-loved hikes or e-bike trips through the region and experience some amazing skiing on the guided ski days that he offers in the winter.

Theresa completed the spa team in 2021. She spoils guests with rejuvenating beauty treatments and individual massages at the new panorama spa.
