Hosts with values

A warm, welcoming family-run hotel

Your hosts, the Hörl family, are proud to have been welcoming guests to Leogang for decades. Over the years, they have come to master the perfect balance of traditional values and modern luxury. With roots in the Leogang region running deep, all family members are proud to share their home region with guests. Ask them about the best things to see and do during your stay and they’ll happily provide their best tips or even guide you to the family-run Abergalm hut, a 700-year-old gem high in the mountains of the the Schwarzleotal valley.

We love our home. After all these years, we are still amazed by the spectacular natural environment that surrounds us and inspires us every single day.

We are determined to never stop evolving, which is why regular visitors to our hotel will regularly discover something new that wasn't there last time. The new-look interior decor and new panorama rooftop spa are just two examples of how we pay tribute to the past while looking to the future.

The Hörl family

Meet your hosts

Anton Hörl senior built the Salzburger Hof Leogang with his wife Anneliese in 1988 and has managed the hotel ever since. The hotel’s wine cellar is his greatest passion. He also enjoys advising his guests on the perfect pairings and sharing his wine expertise. If he’s not busy at the hotel, Anton can usually be found out in the countryside. His favourite activities include collecting mushrooms, mountain biking in summer and ski touring in winter.

Anneliese Hörl manages the Salzburger Hof together with her husband, Anton. She is mainly responsible for housekeeping and the carefully selected décor throughout the hotel. Besides keeping the Salzburger Hof beautiful and its guests entertained, Anneliese enjoys long walks in the countryside, spending time in her garden and playing with her grandson, Johannes.

After studying history and politics at university, Christoph devoted more and more his time and energy to his parents’ hotel business. He is responsible for finance and controlling. In his free time, Christoph enjoys reading, skiing and hiking.

Anton Hörl junior is responsible for the hotel’s human resource management and supports the team managers in selecting new staff members. His hobbies include biking, hiking and, of course, skiing.

Fasika welcomes you to the hotel’s spa at the spa reception. When she's not hard at work in the hotel, the native Ethiopian spends most of her time cooking, gardening and looking after her son, Johannes.

The youngest member of the family is responsible for good vibes at the Salzburger Hof. Johannes likes dogs, tractors and cruising around on his tricycle.

Meet the Team

Ready to create the holiday of your dreams

Bianca has been a part of the massage and spa team for over a decade. Her specialities are sports massages and singing bowl treatments. She pampers our guests with customised spa experiences.

People are at the centre of Bianca's work at the hotel. Her vision is to create an inspiring working environment in which every employee feels comfortable and has the opportunity to realise their full potential. Away from work, she can be found hiking in the Steinberge mountains, on via ferratas or on the ski slopes, where she enjoys the extensive slopes of the Skicircus.

Hildegard Frank is the hotel reception manager. She comes from Saalfelden and has worked at the Salzburger Hof Leogang for over 17 years. One of her top priorities as a team manager is creating special experiences for our guests here in the heart of the Austrian Alps.

Ivan joined the spa team in September 2023 and is on hand to pamper hotel guests with soothing massages at the panorama spa.

Ivonne has been part of our team since August 2023 and gives the reception team a helping hand. After completing her studies, the native Dutchwoman worked all over Europe and discovered many different cultures.

Judith is responsible for the marketing at the hotel. After her master studies in tourism and leisure management she joined the Salzburger Hof Leogang in late 2017. She loves the mountains, hiking and skiing as well as travelling to faraway countries to learn more about their cultures.

Lenka is part of the restaurant team since 2019 and now our assistant restaurant manager. Born in Slovakia, Lenka gained a lot of experience in Tyrol and Pinzgau before joining Salzburger Hof Leogang.

She enjoys drinking good wines and to try some new ones, so she can help you perfectly with the wine selection.

Marko is from Croatia and since winter season 2022/23 our new restaurant manager. He loves his job and works together with his team to offer you the best possible service.

Michael Mayrhofer is a passionate chef. After completing his training, he developed his love of cooking at various hotels throughout Austria – one of which was recognised in the Gault & Millau restaurant guide. In 2019 he felt a calling to return to his home town and joined us at the Salzburger Hof Leogang as our chef de cuisine – to the delight of our entire team and our guests.

Patricia Vogel is a Leogang local and has worked for the Salzburger Hof Leogang for 13 years. When not working at the hotel, she regularly ventures into the mountains, regardless of the season.

Philipp is part of our kitchen team since 2018 and since last summer he is the new sous-chef.

The Salzburger Hof welcomes sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. As an ambitious and passionate mountain biker, Sabrina is particularly thankful to have found a place where she can combine her profession and personal interests. She offers guided bike rides as well as fitness classes and also manages the hotel spa.

Stefan is our hotel’s hiking and ski guide. He takes guests to hidden gems in the mountains and is happy to share his local knowledge. Join him on his popular hikes and e-bike rides in summer or for an unforgettable ski day in winter.

Since August 2019 Stela is part of the housekeeping team at Salzburger Hof Leogang and responsible for cleanliness in the hotel as housekeeper.
