Contact our reception to get detailed directions and all the other information you need about the Abergalm hut. Want to hike up to the hut on foot? Allow approximately one and a half hours and some extra time to appreciate the unspoilt landscape. If you prefer to drive, you can park your car at the Unterberghaus. From the Schaubergwerk Leogang, it’s just a short walk (15-20 minutes) to the hut.

Drop off your luggage at reception before you set off. We will transport everything up to the hut for you. When you reach the hut, your host will already be there waiting to welcome you and give you a guided tour with some interesting facts and stories as well as everything you need to know to make the most of your stay, including how to cook on the rustic wood-burning stove.

Once all your questions are answered, the host will head back down into the valley and leave you to your own devices. Savour the silence, cook up a barbecue and breathe in the fresh air, nature views and candle-lit atmosphere. Sleep in the next day and take your time before saying goodbye. We will welcome you back to the hotel whenever you’re ready. 

Of course, we’ll also bring your luggage back down to the hotel. Leave the keys at the reception once you return and we will arrange for everything to be picked up.
